‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Ron Perlman cast for Super Bowl episode; we rejoice immediately

The Blacklist logo any seasonWe knew that “The Blacklist” was looking for a pretty big name for their upcoming Super Bowl episode, and we could not be happier with the man in which they decided on.

According to TV Guide, former “Sons of Anarchy” star Ron Perlman, who has also been in “Hellboy,” “Pacific Rim,” and dozens of other amazing things, has been cast for a role that will be very important come February 1.

Specifically, Perlman is going to play the part of Luther Braxton, a very smart, calculated thief who spends a whole lot of time planning out each and every heist that he takes part in. This makes him an extremely dangerous threat, since it is very hard to one-up someone who has put so much time and effort into so many of his heists.

There is not a whole lot else known about the character right now, at least other than that he is going to face off at some point against Raymond Reddington (James Spader). It’s not entirely clear if this is a one-episode gig or not, but we know that Perlman has a busy schedule. He always has some film projects on hand, and to go along with that, he has a major role in the upcoming Amazon original series entitled “Hand of God.”

Hopefully, this episode will live up to all of the expectations that we have for it, which are going to be through the roof. You always expect something great for an episode after the Super Bowl, and Perlman just adds to it.
