ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 7 video: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and the honeymoon debate

Is “Once Upon a Time in the West” really the honeymoon episode of “Castle”? We’ve had that debate for a while now, and seemingly Castle and Beckett themselves are doing the same thing in the sneak-peek video.

In this clip, Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion star in a romantic evening gone horribly wrong. While they two were sent to solve a murder undercover as newlyweds for work, it seems like they are really starting to embrace their roles here. Beckett decides that Castle is right, and they should be celebrating!

Unfortunately, just as soon as she starts to lose a few buttons, things start to hit the fan courtesy of a snake. (Are any couple repeatedly cut off from intimate moments more than these two?) Beckett tries to shoot the reptile, and we learn soon after that she is not necessarily a perfect shot all the time. Meanwhile, the gunfire scares off the horses, which Castle has hilariously named after Ryan and Esposito.

After this, Beckett makes a new determination that, once again, this is not a real honeymoon. From here, they try to go about the business of the rest of the case.

The biggest takeaway from this video for us is merely that we’re in for a heck of a fun episode, and one that is probably going to bring a lot of great things to the table. We expect to laugh often, but also be occasionally reminded as to why these two characters are perfect for each other.

In case you didn’t hear, beyond this episode is one entitled “Kill Switch,” which will be the story that forces Esposito to think about his own life in a different way.
