‘How to Get Away with Murder’ episode 8 spoilers: Lila’s pregnancy; Sam’s role

To say Thursday night’s new episode of “How to Get Away with Murder” is a big one would be the understatement of the year. It is the penultimate episode this fall, and it is also going to be a big opportunity to continue telling the story of just what happened to Lila Stangard.

At the end of last Thursday’s episode, one of the larger revelations that came out was that the character was pregnant, and due to his past history with her, it has to be suspected that Sam could be the father. With that, he has to rise even higher on the list of possible suspects.

Is it safe to say that Annalise Keating has her hands full in this episode? It certainly sounds like it. As Liza Well (Bonnie) tells TV Guide, the truth with Sam is something that Viola Davis’ character will attempt to uncover. With that being said, Bonnie is also going to have her hands full looking into the matter:

“She does it on her own … There’s a lot of wavering on Sam’s part on how involved he was with Lila. That will get stretched out.”

We feel like “How to Get Away with Murder” would benefit from having Sam’s role in Lila’s death being no longer a mystery before the fall season ends, mostly because we are getting ever closer to his own murder. Eventually, the show does have to progress onto some other things, but it will be intriguing to see just how much these separate threads are all tied to one another.
