‘Longmire’ season 4 notes: Craig Johnson interview, information on next Stampede

Big news -For today’s edition of “Longmire” notes, we start with something that we personally feel was an extremely fun interview author Craig Johnson gave while promoting his new book Wait for Sings.

This chat with with Portland television station KATU during their “AM Northwest” morning show, and this chat gives you some further insight into Johnson’s writing, how involved he has been with the TV series over the past few seasons, and also how audiences all around the country have received the tales of Sheriff Walt Longmire.

What we mostly love about this interview are the stories, which show off Johnson’s natural humor ability to weave a good yarn. It’s the sort of interview you could listen to for a lot longer, mostly because it feels so genuine and not the typical canned answers you get from other people during these sort of sit-downs. There’s sadly not a whole lot of information in here on the current status of the show, but there may not be a whole lot else to publicly report right now other than to continue to have hope.

Check out the video below.

The next stampede – For those of you following the current social-media campaigns to save the show, there will be another Twitter stampede Monday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. The official hashtag? #Longmire4ever. Remember not to use this until the stampede begins; this strategy worked wonders on this past stampede, as the show managed to get briefly on the list of worldwide trending topics. Congratulations to all involved!

Hopefully, all of this hard work will lead to more news on the show’s future soon.
