‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Tim DeKay, Hayley Atwell return for Hydra showdown
It makes sense that Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” would probably save some of their stronger episodes for the November sweeps, and that is seemingly what is going on for next week’s all-new episode entitled “The Things We Bury.”
Before we do anything else here, let’s talk guest stars. Tim DeKay is going to be back as Senator Christian Ward, who certainly made an impact in his first appearance. Meanwhile, you’re going to get another turn from Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, and Hayley Atwell has some other guest spot in here to remind us that “Agent Carter” is coming up early next year. We guess this means a flashback, since we don’t imagine there being another elaborate makeup job implemented anytime soon here.
Now, let’s get to the nitty-gritty, and some of the official details about this episode that were released by ABC recently:
“Coulson and team find themselves in an epic face-off against Hydra to uncover an ancient secret, while Ward kidnaps his brother, Senator Christian Ward, for a violent trip down memory lane.”
This is hardly the most descriptive thing that we’ve ever seen, but ABC is also very much aware right now that it really doesn’t need to be. The show is bringing quite a bit to the table right now, and the quality is such that there is no real value that comes in giving away every one of your secrets early.
All we’re hoping for is more action, and we feel like anytime Ward is involved (let’s all cheer him being out of the cell), that is going to happen.
