‘Saving Hope’ season 4 official; Daniel Gillies keeps CTV show and ‘The Originals’
Is there a busier man on TV right now than Daniel Gillies? At the end of the day, we currently have zero clue how in the world this man is still standing upright at the end of every day courtesy of the way that his schedule is.
While most Americans know him primarily from playing Elijah on “The Originals,” he also has another prominent role on the CTV series “Saving Hope,” which films up in Toronto. Somehow, he’s managed to handle being a regular on both, and that will continue moving into the next year thanks to the announcement that “Saving Hope” was just renewed for a fourth season.
This announcement came via a press release today, and Phil King, President of CTV, Sports, and Entertainment Programming, had the following to say:
“Amassing a loyal fan base from across the country during its three seasons to date, ‘Saving Hope’ continues to play a strong and integral role in our #1 fall lineup … We look forward to continuing our relationship with the incredible cast and crew to deliver a fourth season of this hit drama.”
We do wonder how long Gillies can continue to do both of these shows without passing out, but he seems to have figured something out. “Saving Hope” has also found a new home on American TV in ION, which is different from its original network in NBC. The show was originally canceled there, but kept going in Canada.
