‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 5 preview: Michael Cudlitz, Steven Yeun in ‘Self Help’ photos
We could see Sunday night’s new episode of “The Walking Dead” being reasonably polarizing already. After all, it is yet another episode that could feature no Andrew Lincoln or Norman Reedus, and focus instead on what some other characters are doing as they try to meet their latest objective.
How much of this are viewers going to be willing to take? Our guess is that so long as they enjoy the show for entertainment purposes alone, they will probably be happy. The truth here is that AMC has about zero incentive to rush anything on the show, and that includes the storyline to try and “cure” the zombie virus.
The photo above is of Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) doing what he does best, and that is being awesome while killing a ton of walkers. He remains steadfast in his mission to get Eugene to Washington, and has basically shown that he could care less about anything else that is happening on the show.
Meanwhile, we have Glenn (Steven Yeun). To be honest, we’re still reasonably surprised that the man decided, along with Maggie (Lauren Cohan), to go with Abraham’s team rather than the camp to find and save Beth. Maybe they feel like saving all of humanity could in turn help everyone in the world, and they have a lot of trust in Rick and company.
Anyway, you can expect there to be a great deal of killing in this episode, but there is also a certain air of mystery given that there is no defined adversary right now other than some of the people at the hospital. Who are these people really going to be afraid of?
