ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Preparing for the big Emily VanCamp reveal

Tomorrow night, “Revenge” is going to air yet another new episode on ABC, and it is pretty fair to say that this one may be especially appointment viewing.

Why? While we have no specific sneak peek to show you right now, you are at least going to get the opportunity to see Emily Thorne and David Clarke meet for the first time since his supposed death so many years ago. This will probably be rather emotional, and could even end up rivaling the one where she learned he was alive in the first place.

There is really just one very important question you are left to wonder before this episode airs, and that is mostly a matter of if David is meeting Emily, the woman that Victoria has spread so much venom about so far, or his actual daughter Amanda Clarke. It may be stretching plausibility if he does not recognize any part of her after seeing her here, though then again, the show has managed to avoid that at almost every other turn.

If nothing else, this should be a great episode for Emily VanCamp to play, and the way that this reunion goes could shape much of the rest of season 4. The only thing that we feel reasonably confident about right now is that it is not entirely likely that this is going to go off without a hitch for Emily. Rarely do things ever. Expect some further hardships that keep her from getting exactly what she wants.
