‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Show bosses tease Mikael, Esther backstory

Ready to uncover even more mythology when it comes to “The Originals“? Well, the new episode airing on The CW Monday, and it could be one of the most important ones to date when it comes to one key subject: Letting you know just who Mikael and Esther were at one point during their lives.

In the new video below, executive producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci do their part to explain some of the major forces that are at work in this big installment of the show, and how important it also was to finally touch back on who these two were long before Klaus became the vicious man that he now is. After all, getting more information on this subject is really one of the only ways to fully understand his motives, and also where he comes from.

The title for the hour is “Wheel Inside the Wheel,” and in some ways, you could relate and tie this to a mythology that is ultimately inside another mythology. We just hope that in the process, we learn to understand every person within this Original family better. While it is always acceptable / understandable to have characters you are rooting for more than others, there is something good that comes from understanding the characters you dislike or want to root against.
