‘How to Get Away with Murder’ episode 7 review: Was Lila Stangard’s body exhumed?
As we get near the first half of “How to Get Away with Murder” coming to a close, you would think that everything would start to become a little clearer. We’re not sure that this is entirely the case.
What we did get out of Thursday night’s new episode, though, was further proof that Annalise Keating really will go to the ends of the earth if she needs to in order to ensure that a job gets done. This means at times using a client’s naivete in order to ensure that they can bend a few of the rules.
The big move when it comes to the Lila Stangard case this time around was simple, and that was her body being exhumed. It was a big legal move that could change the case, and possibly even in a bad way for Rebecca. Luckily, she may have a certain savior coming in to capture the real killer.
None of this really compared, though, to the blow-the-roof-off twist that came from the second autopsy: Lila was pregnant. In the end, this could be information that helps Rebecca’s status as a suspect. Why would this add to the list of possible motives for her to kill her? What this reveal truly does is put Sam in even greater danger, since if the baby was his, this is a situation that he did not want to get himself involved in given his status.
This episode was very good, and easily the best in weeks for the show. We just hope that the best really could be still to come. Episode Grade: B+.
