‘Justified’ season 6 spoilers: ‘Lost’ alum gets recurring role
Even though the final season of “Justified” is most likely going to focus mostly on the characters we have come to know over the course of the past few years, there will be at least some exceptions to this rule.
According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, Jeff Fahey of “Lost” fame (Lapidus!) has been cast to play the part of Zachariah Randolph in multiple episodes of the FX drama. This character is described as “old coot” who does have a little bit of knowledge about mine shafts, and could come in handy for someone before the series comes to a close.
Fahey is getting to jump on board the show at a pretty great time, since everyone should be nostalgic about “Justified” at around the time that it is airing early next year. This is a show that has always been somewhat underrated, and we are gearing up for a Raylan / Boyd showdown that really has been years in the making. It is almost a crazy thing when you think about it. Years ago, the original plan was for Walton Goggins’ character to go away after the pilot, but he has instead become essential to the fabric of the show. One interesting / good comparison here would be to say that he is almost the Jesse Pinkman of the show in how he’s managed to stay around because the character is so awesome.
We’ll have some more “Justified” news before its premiere next year, so stay tuned.
