‘Faking It’ season 2, episode 7 preview: Theo and Lauren ‘plan’ a date

Over the past couple of episodes, the story of Lauren and Theo on “Faking It” has certainly evolved, at least in that we can now say with 100% certainty that they are each very interested in one another.

However, there are also stumbling blocks. Lauren has not told the truth about her being intersex, while Theo seems to be hiding some other sort of secret of his own. What is it? It feels like it has to come out before the end of this season, otherwise most of this story is pretty useless.

For the time being, though, the sneak-peek video from Tuesday night’s new episode seems to have one very simple premise, and that is her letting Theo know that they are going to be spending quite a bit of time together this weekend on a date. This includes him picking a nice restaurant, and he loses points if it is a chain. Given that the show is set in Austin versus just some suburban hole, we imagine that he is going to figure out a way without a problem to find her somewhere nice.

The irony here at the moment is that somehow, these two may have just as honest a relationship as everyone else on the show. Amy and Liam are both lying to Karma, and Shane’s new relationship is much too new to even be considered such. The same goes for Amy and Reagan, but early previews there suggest that the former is not exactly telling her about her best friend.
