‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, and ‘Friendsgiving’

Nina Dobrev -Why not create your own pseudo-holiday? Apparently, this is a thought that entered the mind of someone related to “The Vampire Diaries” when it comes to “Fade Into You,” the November 20 episode of the show that will be the last prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. (The CW’s not crazy enough to air a new episode on the holiday itself.)

The story for this particular hour of TV seems to be a little scattered, but in the wake of losing so many people they love, Elena and Caroline are going to come up with their own way to ring in the season of giving. It would have been better, of course, if there was not complete chaos taking place all around them. Take a look at the synopsis below for a few more details:

“As Caroline (Candice Accola) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) prepare to host Friendsgiving at the dorm, they receive some hopeful news from Alaric (Matt Davis) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), who have traveled to Portland to gather some information regarding the Gemini Coven. Tyler (Michael Trevino) is determined to help Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) after she and Luke (guest star Chris Brochu) reveal some disturbing information about their witch lineage and the impending plans their coven has for them. Meanwhile, dinner takes a drastic turn when Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe), who has revealed some painful details about her past, finds herself fighting for her life, leaving Alaric scrambling to help from a distance. Finally, Kai (guest star Chris Wood) makes a dangerous discovery that brings him one step closer to his release.”

The biggest immediate takeaway that you should take from this is mostly that Kai is not going to be the sort to just show up on the series, and disappear a few weeks later. This guy’s a complete psychopath, and it also looks as though he is going to be around on the series for a while. That’s bad news for Bonnie, who is not even mentioned in this synopsis.

Don’t worry, though: We know that there are some big plans for Kat Graham’s character come the midseason finale.
