‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 5 preview: Michael Cudlitz, Lauren Cohan in ‘The Choice’

Tonight, “The Walking Dead” brought us a story about Beth, and next week, it looks like you are going to be seeing a whole lot more of a certain sister of hers.

Maggie will be front and center throughout much of “The Choice,” along with everyone else traveling with Abraham at the moment. Michael Cudlitz dominates the promo below, which is fine by us mostly because he’s awesome. It is pretty darn nice in the end to have a video that is anchored by this strong of a character, since it gives us something very specific to be looking forward to.

Hopefully, it will also at the same time progress the story forward a little bit. While we’re sure that there are some who enjoyed “Slabtown” a whole lot, there are others that may find it frustrating and slowly-paced. With just one familiar character through most of it, this was a very different sort of story than one that we are used to seeing.

We’re hoping that through next week, we will get a much more panoramic view of who Abraham is, and how far he is willing to go in order to ensure that Eugene makes it to Washington. Just imagine the revolts that would happen if this guy dies … and how AMC would cheer, since they would have so many more seasons of the show that they could put on the air moving forward.
