‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 7 preview: Job trouble for Kaley Cuoco’s Penny
When we first heard that Penny on “The Big Bang Theory” was going to be taking a job in the field of pharmaceutical sales, we were pretty confident that she was going to be very good at the job.
How good? Well, we figured that sooner or later, the sales techniques of Kaley Cuoco’s character were going to get her in trouble. That may officially happen on the new episode airing Thursday, and we have some of the first details via the official CBS synopsis below:
“The guys try to help Penny out of an awkward work dilemma. Meanwhile, Amy and Bernadette argue over whether or not female scientists should play up their sexuality.”
This “awkward work dilemma” basically revolves around a doctor showing up at her door after she starts to give him a wrong impression while on the job using some of her techniques.
In the end, it feels like sexuality is going to be a theme for almost the entire half-hour, and what is interesting about almost the entire set-up right here is that it is not particularly often that we see the show focus on the female characters with almost all of the primary storylines. While we are sure Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj, are still involved, when was the last time the three ladies were mentioned, but not them? We honestly can’t remember off the top of our head.
