‘Gotham’ episode 7 preview: Will ‘Penguin’s Umbrella’ be Robin Lord Taylor feature?

While the majority of Monday’s “Gotham” was not a story we will probably be seeing anytime soon, the cliffhanger ending is something that we figure will be very important for quite a while to come. We saw James Gordon get arrested by the MCU, but moments later, Oswald Cobblepot bailed him out by showing up at the police station and announcing his presence.

In a way, we’re confused about the motivation of outing himself as a live, but we’ll got with it since it made a cool TV moment. What we’ll say about the next episode is this: The title is “Penguin’s Umbrella,” and at the center of it is going to be the return of Maroni and Falcone, and also the aftermath of Oswald’s decision and how it related to Ben McKenzie’s character. Just take a look at the attached synopsis below:

“As violence between Maroni (guest star David Zayas) and Falcone continues to escalate, Penguin reveals a new element of his manipulative strategy, forcing Gordon to deal with the consequences of his decision to spare Penguin’s life.”

One thing that we have really appreciated about the story for Robin Lord Taylor’s character is that the show has slowed down the progression somewhat for the past few weeks, and it allows us to appreciate his journey more. Hopefully, this hour will feature more of his agenda, and allow us to crawl into that very-creepy brain for a minute.

Also, hopefully Bullock doesn’t beat the tar out of his partner over keeping what he really did to Oswald a secret.
