‘The X Factor’ UK results: Was Jack Walton, Only the Young, or Jake Quickenden eliminated?
Now more than ever, “The X Factor” UK is a series with its contestants in several tiers. We have first and foremost the favorites, which include Andrea Faustini, Jay James, Lauren Platt, and Only the Young. Then, you have the contestants like Lola Saunders, Ben Haenow, Fleur East, and Paul Akister, who are very good but could be in danger on a given week if their fans forget.
Then, there are Stereo Kicks, Jake Quickenden, Jack Walton, and Stevi Ritchie. These are the four we felt would be in danger going into tonight’s show, thanks to a combination of weaker performances and perceived smaller support bases.
Well, this is still a tricky show, isn’t it? Stevi escaped the ax yet again, and he managed to be safe while Only the Young were in the bottom. We love Stevi, but this is a little insane, is it not?
In the end, maybe this will help Only the Young to try to build up their following a little bit, since it was clear going into this that there was absolutely no way that Jake was staying over them. He was a nice guy, but he just didn’t have the same vocal prowess as the best group currently in the competition. With that being said, they do need a breakout performance in the near future to find themselves in good footing.
To be honest, though, both of the sing-offs were pretty terrible, and we were starting to feel like Stereo Kicks had more potential than Only the Young by the end of this. Still, all of the judges saved Only the Young other than Mel B, with Simon basically telling them both that they were horrible.

I’ve finally found a fantastic argument in favour of Stereo Kicks: It’s as many members as S Club 7 +1.
