‘The Musketeers’ season 2 spoilers: Filming updates; is a season 3 renewal coming?
It seems as though it has been a very long time since we’ve reported much of anything about “The Musketeers” season 2, and due to that, we’re very lucky to be doing so right now!
The biggest thing to note here is that for all of those watching production of the BBC hit, the filming is just about at an end. According to SpoilerTV, there is just a couple of weeks done until the show is wrapped on its second week, which is probably a good thing thanks to the fact that the premiere is only a matter of months away. It already is set to be an interesting one, given that the show has to find a way to create a new villain due to Peter Capaldi leaving the to become the next Doctor.
While there may be some uncertainty over the immediate future of the long, it seems like there could simultaneously be a reason to breathe in a sigh of a relief if you are looking more towards the show’s long-term future. Producer Jessica Pope made it clear on Twitter recently that while there is not a third season just yet, things are progressing in a way that makes us hopeful of the future. There is not official pickup just yet, but given the nature of the series and it is its international appeal, we have plenty of reason to be hopeful.
It is going to be a little while before you actually see “The Musketeers” on the air in America. Specifically, think next summer.
