‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Will Red bond with Jennifer this fall?
There have been quite a few mysteries throughout “The Blacklist” so far this season, but one of the biggest ones revolves around the figure that is Jennifer. What we know about her right now is pretty simple: She is the daughter of Naomi Hyland, and while we assume that Reddington is her father, that has actually not been confirmed.
What we also know now is that Red seems to be getting closer to her by “The Scimtar,” the new episode of the series that is airing on NBC a week from Monday. This will be the second-to-last one before the show goes off of the air until February, and the synopsis below gives at least a decent amount away:
“When an Iranian nuclear scientist is suspiciously assassinated, a revenge ploy begins against a valued American. Red (James Spader) informs agents Keen (Megan Boone) and Navabi (Mozhan Marno) that a dangerously conniving hitman “The Scimitar” (guest star Waleed F. Zuaiter) has been sent to the job. Liz and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) find themselves in a tricky predicament as they investigate a surveillance lead. Agent Keen attempts to gather information on Berlin (Peter Stormare), while Red finds company with a woman working at a food truck.”
In the last episode, it was revealed that this Jennifer character now goes by Zoe D’Antonio, and she is working at the food truck. Seeing her reaction to him right now has to be considered one of the show’s main events.

There is absolutely NO confirmation that Jennifer is Naomi’s and/or Red’s daughter… Don’t know how you automatically got that from the last episode. Why would Red refer to his own daughter as “THE GIRL” to everyone (MVA guy, Aram, Lizzie) instead of as HIS DAUGHTER? He even asks Liz, “What makes you think she’s my daughter?” More likely its Berlin’s daughter or granddaughter and Red will use her to prove he had nothing to do with Berlin’s daughter’s disappearance/death. Why do you article writers always assume the simplest explanation on this show that is known for twists and misleads? It confounds me to no end… And makes everyone look dumb.

Sorry, meant ZOE… No confirmation ZOE is Jennifer aka Naomi/Red’s daughter.
