‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 5 preview: Thomas Gibson’s Halloween spotlight

Are you ready to celebrate Halloween with “Criminal Minds“? Then you are going to have something specific to look forward to on “Boxed In,” a new episode airing on CBS next week. This episode will not only be directed by series star Thomas Gibson, but it will also feature a guest-starring role from his son Travis.

“When a young boy who went missing in San Diego on Halloween suddenly reappears one year later, the BAU must work fast when another trick-or-treater disappears under similar circumstances, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Thomas Gibson directed the episode. Gibson’s son, Travis, guest stars as Jake McCauley, one of the missing boy’s friends.”

In a way, we want to see just what this story holds when it comes to expectations. For example, there was definitely enough creepiness when it comes to tonight’s episode that it could have functioned as a Halloween episode in its own right. Why didn’t it? We just have to imagine that it is because the writers and everyone else on board the show have something even more intense coming down the pipeline.

In Gibson we trust. That is going to at least be the vow that we continue to say on the show until we get a chance to see this air.
