‘Jane the Virgin’ episode 3 preview: What lies ahead for Gina Rodriguez, cast now
The CW clearly has something on their hands now with “Jane the Virgin,” and above all else, it is a series that showcases a different sort of passion and humor than the rest of their schedule. It’s got elements of some of their better shows over the years, but also a down-home humor and charm many of them lack. Also, it’s nice that there is one show airing on the first three nights of the week that doesn’t have superpowers of supernatural abilities in it (even if we love those shows).
Next week’s “Chapter Three” is going to be an eventful episode, even if it does carry with it an uneventful title. Take a look at what some of our basic expectations for this hour are via the official synopsis:
“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) considers making a life-changing decision about her and Michael’s (Brett Dier) relationship. Alba (Ivonne Coll) is disappointed in Xo’s (Andrea Navedo) handling of Rogelio (Jaime Camil), so Alba takes it into her own hands to stop Rogelio from trying to see Jane. Meanwhile, Jane continues to question whether Petra (Yael Grobglas) will be a fit mother, and her pursuit of the truth leads to an unexpected change in their relationship. Michael’s on-going murder investigation leads to an unexpected discovery.”
Above all else, what we are excited to see tomorrow is if this series can really build on the ratings that it got for the premiere. Typically, second episodes feature smaller audiences, but it may be different for a non-franchise series that had strong reviews.
