‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 notes: Juice’s story; Drea De Matteo on Katey Sagal
Before we get to previewing Tuesday’s “Sons of Anarchy” episode in full tomorrow, we thought we’d also go ahead and take a look at some of the big stories right now from across the web related to the show … including a small tease of what could be coming Juice’s way.
According to Entertainment Weekly, while the start of “Greensleeves” will be somewhat unusual to fans at first when they see it Tuesday, the real fate of Theo Rossi’s character is going to become a little bit clearer not too long after that. Therefore, the best thing that we can tell you right now if you’re looking for advice is patience. There is clearly a plan for this character, and we just have to see how it ends up panning out.
On a different note … How about a fun story revolving around Drea De Matteo? The actress behind Wendy did a fantastic AMA on Reddit this morning, and when asked about working with Katey Sagal, she had the rather touching quote below to share:
“As far as Katey goes, I could go on and on for days, especially this season. I know that she’s been, you know, the villainess for so long on the show, but she is a character everyone loves to have. As far as her real personality goes, she is the antithesis – she is not Gemma, but she does carry a lot of Gemma’s qualities, and you know, we’ve been working towards the end of the series, so there have been a lot of goodbyes and speeches and things that have been said, and Kurt said about Katey, his wife, that she was in large part an inspiration for Gemma, because of her strength in real life, because of the kind of mom she is, because of how protective she is, and she does embody all of those qualities in Gemma that everybody loves. And I can say that from my own experience being on set as much as I have with her this season, I felt really taken care of this year, when I knew I was going to be working with her.”
