‘Gotham’ episode 5 preview: Bruce Wayne becomes a better Bruce Wayne

There have been moments throughout the first four episodes of “Gotham” this season where the Bruce Wayne story has felt a little tacked-on, almost like the show is desperate to remind you that he is still a key component of the story, and therefore someone you really need to see every single episode. We know that he is going to become Batman someday, but pacing this transition is going to be the real challenge.

What we actually like about the new sneak-peek video below is that rather than showing Bruce trying to anything else that is dangerous, or something that he really would not be ready for, the show opts instead to give you a further look at how Bruce Wayne is looking to become a better businessman. During his time in mourning, the kid is spending his time studying the operations of his company, and wants to understand what is happening with it.

One thing that has already happened is that is starting to realize that this company is now operating in the same way it once did under his father, and there is a certain amount of disappointment and corruption going through it when it comes to the dealings with Arkham.

Are we really going to see “Master Bruce” (as Alfred calls him) running the business anytime in the near future? It’s doubtful, but you can most-likely think of this sneak peek as a step in a great, promising direction depending on how long this show stays on the air.
