‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 6 preview: Sheldon’s breaking point is…
How much torment is Dr. Sheldon Cooper willing to put himself through for the good of science? This is one of many questions that we are seemingly going to see Jim Parsons’ character ask himself on Monday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory.”
Here is the basic premise of the story as laid out in the promo below: Sheldon and Raj are considering a project that will have the two of them spending an enormous amount of time in an underground mine, but there are some serious that the two need to consider. This is what the new sneak peek below is really all about.
In this preview, you can basically see Raj list off a list of pretty valid reasons why this may not be a good idea for them to take on this mine mission, but Sheldon is surprisingly okay with most of them. However, we learn in here that he also very-quickly has a breaking point, and it comes the moment that it is mentioned that they would have to use a bucket for a toilet. The only other choice is that they wait for 12 hours before using the bathroom, and Sheldon’s not okay with that.
At the moment, there is really not enough evidence here to say one way or another if this is going to be a good story, but we at least feel pretty confident for the time being that it makes us intrigued. We like the episodes where characters are paired off in interesting ways, and while we’ve seen a Raj / Sheldon story before, we haven’t in this specific way.
