‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: New details about Thomas Gibson-directed episode

Just in case you love it when actors on some of your favorite shows take on a directing gig, you may be especially thrilled about the upcoming “Criminal Minds” episode airing on Wednesday, October 29. This installment is being directed by none other than series star Thomas Gibson, and just in case that wasn’t interesting enough, his son Travis is also going to be a guest star.

“Boxed In” is the next installment of the show, and given the time in which it is airing, it only makes sense that it would have a pretty strong Halloween theme to go along with it. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:

“When a young boy who went missing in San Diego on Halloween suddenly reappears one year later, the BAU must work fast when another trick-or-treater disappears under similar circumstances, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Thomas Gibson directed the episode. Gibson’s son, Travis, guest stars as Jake McCauley, one of the missing boy’s friends.”

Admittedly, we get frustrated with “Criminal Minds” sometimes, mostly because a good many of the press releases don’t give us the information that we want about upcoming episodes. Specifically, they rarely tell us anything at all about some of the stories that are coming for the characters.

Anyway, this episode isn’t doing a whole lot to change that, but we are at least interested in the Halloween theme, and also whether or not Gibson can make this into something great behind the camera.
