ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Michelle Fairley’s Margaret and an accusation

Resurrection -Well, as if “Resurrection” did not have its fair share of very-awkward moments before, it definitely has one now when it comes to Margaret Langston.

Ever since Michelle Fairley’s character first arrived on the scene, it was pretty evident that there was some creepiness going on here. After all, we had those scenes with the bones, which made us thing that something awful was going on. Then, there’s the way she talks about the factory, and her negative attitude really, in general.

Are we really that surprised that she is being accused of killing someone? Hardly. What we’re more interested in right now is what makes her so different from so many other members of the Returned. Jacob has already confirmed that she, like Caleb Richards, has a bizarre pull over him that is somewhat difficult to explain. There are many things that still need to be answered on this show, but this is no doubt one of them.

What this show really needs to do above all else, though, is find a way to stop some of the bleeding. There are some serious comparisons starting to form right now between this show and “Under the Dome,” from the way they were promoted to the enormous ratings the two drew back when they originally premiered. Unfortunately, they’ve both slipped mightily since then, and “Resurrection” really needs to figure out what it wants to do with itself. Maybe it needs a little bit of a resurrection of its own? (Yes, that was a terrible pun.)
