‘Longmire’ season 4 notes: Lou Diamond Phillips, the latest stampede, and more

Longmire -We’re back yet again with a “Longmire” update for the past couple of days, and this one comes first and foremost with the announcement of the next social-media stampede: Friday, October 17 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. These stampedes and the frequent #LongLiveLongmire hashtags are great things, mostly because they keep the beloved show present on social media; it not only unifies the community, but it shows that the fan base will not be silenced.

Unfortunately, there is no further news on whether or not the canceled series will find a home. Thanks to the recent information that contracts for the cast do not expire until February, this is a situation where you could still have a rather long wait ahead. This may at the same time actually still be a good thing, though: It gives more networks a chance to analyze what they have going on, and maybe this leads to them deciding that they want to pick the show up.

Another new gig – One of the nice things that we’ve been able to report on since the cancellation is seeing what some of the cast is up to away from the show. Both Adam Bartley and Bailey Chase have scored gigs on “Bones” and “Chicago Fire” (among others), and Lou Diamond Phillips announced himself on Twitter where you can see him next.

This has been a busy few months for Phillips. In addition to being active in the campaign to save “Longmire,” he’s also been in a revival production of “The King and I” in Australia.

You know that the moment that there is some further news related to “Longmire,” we’ll have it for you here at CarterMatt. Just be sure to keep checking back, and stay tuned!
