‘Gracepoint’ episode 4 preview: Danny’s revelations; Carver’s secrets

Where will the story on “Gracepoint” go from here? On next week’s new episode, we are going to discover that there is going to be even more secrets in this small town than you knew about previously. Somehow, these sort of story threads always seem to come up on these sort of shows, now don’t they?

The Fox series does not give away episode titles, so the next installment is simply named “Episode 4.” However, we can at least give you a few details at the moment all about what lies ahead:

“A revelation that Danny had some secrets of his own opens the door to new suspects, while Det. Carver keeps things close to the vest and it could have an impact on the case.”

So how do we praise “Gracepoint”? The answer is simple: By commending thoroughly the performances of David Tennant, Anna Gunn, and the rest of the cast for bringing something superb to the table. Unfortunately, we feel like this is the sort of thing that is probably not going to be fully appreciated until after it is completely over.

The only thing we remain worried about are the numbers for the show, mostly because they are not particularly strong. Luckily, the Fox show has a luxury mostly in that the ratings for almost everything on the network’s schedule are pretty low at the moment, and that should spare the series from having to be burned off on Friday, Saturday, or any other night.
