‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 3 review: Who is Kai; what happened to Enzo?
After spending the past two weeks watching Damon and Bonnie on “The Vampire Diaries” wander around almost pointlessly with pancakes in their whatever-world, tonight’s new episode finally provided something a little bit different, and something we’re very pleased about: Hope. Finally, we know a few things about where these two could be!
However, that still does not make it clear how we had someone present there in Kai who had one goal and one goal only: Trying to destroy Ian Somerhalder’s character once and for all. He tried to claim that he manipulated Bonnie to use her magic, and for the situation between the two to become so dire that they needed each other.
Elsewhere, how about a pool party? Elena and company headed out to the old watering hole for some fun, where we learned a few things. Stefan wanted to kill Enzo to go about his new life, Liv wants to be mean to Tyler, and Elena has a problem when it comes to Sarah. The character actually had her brain wiped away as a result of re-entering Mystic Falls, which means that she now knows to the utmost what exactly happened when it comes to her being glamoured.
Also, Enzo may or may not be among the living anymore, which would be rather weird given that Michael Malarkey was promoted to series regular before things started off here. With that in mind, we have to think that the guy is not quite dead just yet … or maybe that is just wishful thinking.
There were some great moments during tonight’s episode, but what we’re really looking forward to is what is coming up next … and that is something that may take some time to figure out.
