‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 3 preview: The new side of Nina Dobrev’s Elena

Thursday night, “The Vampire Diaries” will air a brand-new episode, and it will be one in particular that makes you question whether or not Elena really did the right thing when it comes to Damon Salvatore. She’s blocked him from her life entirely, and we guess that this is a good thing for her. However, at the same time she has also made herself incredibly soulless.

As the new sneak peek below makes it clear, Elena is trying to figure out how to throw the perfect party, and to reunite the former Mystic Falls gang for the first time in practically forever. What is she not thinking about in the process? It’s a little something or someone known as Damon Salvatore. Nina Dobrev’s character has sapped him away, and thinks of him as little more than a terrible person who treated everyone around him like garbage. With this being said, it’s going to be super-awkward when he actually shows back up at some point … right? (We figure that has to happen.)

The only other notable part of this, at least to us, is that Caroline is heading off to breakfast with Enzo, which sounds like the title of a very cheesy romantic comedy. Could these two become a couple? We don’t know about that, but as Caroline notes, he is one of the most-stable forces in her life right now. It’s certainly pretty clear that this is not something that we ever expected we were going to hear a little bit earlier on in the series’ run.
