‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Shay Mitchell on Christmas Special, more

We’re not at a time right now when there is a whole lot of buzz on “Pretty Little Liars,” and the reasoning for that is ultimately rather simple. After all, there are no new episodes coming on ABC Family for a time. In addition to that, there’s not going to be too much news on the cliffhanger given that nobody wants to say too much regarding Mona’s death just yet.

So for the time being, all we have to do when it comes to Shay Mitchell is be coy. Speaking to Us Weekly in a new interview, what she did first and foremost in regards to talking about the upcoming Christmas Special is joke around about the time it happened to be filmed:

“Pay special attention to the fact that it was 120 degrees when we were shooting outside, with sweaters, hats, and mittens on! See if you can tell.”

From there, though, she did make it sound like there will be a somewhat-different energy with the show when you get a chance to watch it a little later this December:

“You’ve never seen the girls around Christmas time before. It’s kind of special to see them in a different light, celebrating an amazing holiday.”

Is there something for diehard fans to look forward to between now and then? Sure, and it comes in the form of the upcoming Halloween Special. The real purpose of this particular event is going to be giving you a better opportunity to see from the cast members themselves what the experience of filming the show is like; maybe for good measure you will get a preview or two thrown in.
