Is there a chance for an ‘Unforgettable’ season 4 anywhere?
Anytime that you see a show canceled by a network, there is a human part of you that almost always feels bad. Regardless of whether or not you enjoy the show particularly, there are millions of fans who did; not only that, but there are countless writers and crew members who have to go and find new work now.
So with that in mind, we did want to see “Unforgettable” find another hope after being canceled for a second time by CBS … but it is not likely to happen. TVLine reports it as such, and we ultimately feel like it’s probably true in this case. The ratings for the show were not great in the ad-friendly 18-49 demographic, and we feel like many of the ratings that were there probably came thanks to it being a part of the CBS machine. While we see like some other shows out there in the canceled-but-not-over ether (see “Longmire”) bring something still to the table, this one would have a harder time. Many other possible candidates, including TNT and USA, already have similar shows or have in the past.
With that being said, one way to look at this is that the show ultimately got two more seasons than we initially thought that it would have. It may not have been the ending most fans wanted, but it cheated TV death in a way few other shows have.
Also, we have a feeling that Poppy Montgomery will surface on another TV show at some point in the near future. We just hope that on this occasion, it is on a show that will give her something a little different to do beyond solving crimes.
We will have some further updates soon if things change at all with the show, so be on the lookout for that.
