‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Why is Rylan Clark returning?

For this latest story on “The X Factor” UK, we are actually discussing someone who first found fame on the show a couple of years ago in Rylan Clark, and not always in a good way.

Despite being coined in many ways as a “joke,” we actually may have more respect for Rylan than anyone else in the competition. Despite not being a tremendously great singer, he used his stage presence, his personality, and ultimate desire to be an entertainer in order to stick around deep into the competition. Not only that, but he was able to then parlay this into a career as a TV presenter, and a legitimate one. We’re not just talking about someone who does nightclub gigs for money.

So what Rylan is doing back at the house now, per the Mail, seems to be a segment for “This Morning,” one of the most-popular shows in that timeslot. He will be able to offer up some advice to the contestants, and he’s really a good person to give it. Rylan is one of those few that understands that you can’t just go on the show, sing, and expect things to be handed to you. Ultimately, you have to work really hard, and have an edge to go along with those good vocals. Just look at so many former winners for examples of people who were great on the show, but were not able to take their star quality to the mainstream market after the fact.

The only thing that would make that segment better would be if Gary Barlow stopped by to go back-and-forth with Rylan again. These two pretty much made the show when they were on it. (We really wish Gary was still on the show.)
