‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7, episode 6 reaction: Theo Rossi on Juice’s decisions

The latest -Last night, “Sons of Anarchy” aired an episode entitled “Smoke ’em If You Got ’em” that actually seemed to be just as much about the Juice character as it was about anyone. He is the one who made the decision to come back to Charming, and to then approach the Mayans with the information on Jax. There are so many other ways he could have gone about this and things he could have done, but he opted not to. Instead, he chose to come back.

So why did he make this decision? That’s something that is still hard to figure out, but we feel like a part of it revolves around the fact that Juice doesn’t know any other way. Maybe he does have a death wish, and that is why he keeps coming back. Either way, it’s hard to dispute now that this is where we are now, and the fans will continue to be polarized about him.

Speaking on this subject to The Hollywood Reporter, Theo Rossi explained some of these moves when it comes to his character, and the reason that audiences still find themselves addicted to the character, with the following message:

“This was a really important episode for me. At first look, and this happens a lot on TV shows, the first thing is to go, ‘He talked to the Mayans! He gave them information!’ But when you look at why, at how he got there, I think it’s an important episode. I think a reason why the fans have been so supportive of him is because as much as they want to be done with him and hate him, there’s something that’s pulling them in. And I think it’s because he’s never done anything maliciously. I think it’s a really important episode for Juice and tells a lot about him. I’m really excited for the fans — I think this is a really satisfying season.”

We’ve felt for a long time that Juice was not going to live to see this season through, and maybe he still won’t. If he manages to make it through being turned over to Jax, we may go ahead and say that this guy is the ultimate cockroach of Charming.

All we can say in the end is that we’re still just as entranced watching the character as we’ve always been, and we are therefore very interested in seeing how all this ends.
