‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7, episode 7 preview: Charlie Humman’s Jax, ‘Greensleeves,’ and the unlikely
The longer we go on “Sons of Anarchy” season 7, and the more we are waiting for the other shoe to drop. the season has fulfilled its promise of being both shocking and violent, and yet through it all, we almost expected there to be more moments that had you calling your friends while simultaneously screaming.
Maybe this will happen during next week’s new episode “Greensleeves,” but at this point we are hard-pressed to say and somewhat scared to make any bold predictions. What we know is that this is the seventh episode of the season, and you better be prepared for another marathon thanks to the 90-minute runtime.
FX has never been one to release extensive details about an episode, and while this synopsis may be short, there is a certain amount of poignancy in it:
“SAMCRO forges an unlikely partnership in order to undermine a powerful enemy.”
Who may this possible enemy be? All you have to do is look at some of the rival gangs right now. We just know that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) is not any wiser about Gemma (Katey Sagal) just yet, so it will not be her.
What’s also curious about this particular episode comes in the form of the title. “Greensleeves” is known as a popular Christmas song, often under the other name “What Child is This.” For a brief history lesson, there is a common myth out there that this song was created or at least ordered to be composed by King Henry VIII as a way to woo Anne Boleyn, but there is historical evidence that shows it likely did not come about until later. Still, we wonder if there is meant to be a connection there at all, given that Henry VIII did not exactly have a good history with those he supposedly cared for.

In the preview, you see juice shooting at police man and then being chased, I think jax will tell juice he needs to get himself inside to go after Lin… So he either dies by jax or goes inside for the club.
I think unser and jax were talking about the blonde police woman and not Gemma

I think they were talking about Gemma but only that she helped Juice. Not the full big story. I think Nero is working out the Tara/Gemma connection on his own.

I didn’t finish my comment. It looks like my first comment didn’t post. In the preview it does show Juice telling Jax that he is sorry and it looks like Jax is handing him his cut back. Maybe when he learns what Juice did at the spur of the moment to protect his mother and later that Juice showed mercy towards Gemma when she was going to kill him to protect the secret that she killed Tara, he has second thoughts. Juice may be able to convince Jax that he wasn’t actually going to tell the Mayan’s anything important because the club is his only family and he loves them more than anyone or anything else. He “betrayed” Jax when he was really drugged up and messed up from killing that mother of the boy that did the school shooting. He felt he had to confess to Nero at that specific time when he would not have otherwise. Jax is the one that lied to Nero about ordering Juice to kill her. Who really betrayed? That looks like Jax is the betrayer! A preview did show Unser making Jax promise to not harm his mother and Jax promises. Unser is who unintentionally gave Gemma the impression that Tara had betrayed Jax. She whole heartedly believed it and acted out of desperation. Jax may believe her. Gemma is obviously very sorry because she is constantly talking to Tara. Though the season has been extremely violent so far, Jax may actually show mercy to Juice and Gemma. That is what I am hoping at least. Jax and the club turned Juice into what he has become by making him kill so many people. The guilt of that is what unhinged Juice. Though as a fan of the show I’m still ticked that Gemma killed Tara, I don’t want Jax to do anything to Gemma. When he learns everything, I believe he will hide the fact that the Chinese did not start this war by killing Tara from the club. He’s gone too far when he believed the Chinese were responsible. That deception will only work if Gemma doesn’t tell Nero what she has done or if Nero loves her enough to keep all of it to himself despite all of Jax’s retribution blowing back on him so badly.
