‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 3 video: Is Liv crushing on Tyler?

Romance seems to be almost a staple within “The Vampire Diaries” world, so it really should not come as a surprise that there is another potential hot couple on the horizon: Liv and Tyler.

Are we going to want to root for these two together? We still don’t know, but it appears that there are some mutual feelings that are in here. For example, Tyler specifically asks her for a piece of “party equipment” that she could probably find somewhere else if she really wanted to. Meanwhile, she treats him like garbage, which is the sort of thing that she seems to do whenever she likes someone.

This sneak peek is not the most revealing in the world, but it does give us a good opportunity to figure out whether or not like this is a pairing that the show could explore. To be quite honest, we’re still not sure. We are happy that the series has kept Michael Trevino in the cast since the end of the Caroline / Tyler relationship, but with the utmost of honesty, the guy really has not been given the most to do in the world. We wish that there is something coming up that would change that, but we don’t know when that will be.

So for now, just take a romantic subplot for what it is worth. If nothing else, maybe he can find a way to bring Liv out of her shell, and turn her into a slightly-more-interesting character than the one that we have been presented with at the moment.
