‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 4 podcast: On ‘Dr. Linus Creel,’ the mystery door with Jessa

The Blacklist logo any seasonWe are four episodes into the second season of “The Blacklist,” and admittedly, we are still struggling when it comes to figuring out what in the world is going on. We have some new characters that don’t make a whole lot of sense, and also some storylines that are far too convenient. For example, take a look at the affair plotline that featured Frank being threatened by Reddington. How often do we tend to see these sort of stories going on when it comes to some of these shows?

This latest podcast for this episode is therefore a little bit of mixed bag. We have many things to praise the show for, but also a few to question.

  • First, there are comparisons to be made between this episode and “Dr. James Convington,” and then also further comparisons to be made between the Linus Creel character and other psychological killers that we’ve seen in other mediums over the years.
  • What is behind that door? We have a few theories, including one that should be painfully obvious.
  • We discuss if this is the end of the line for Naomi Hyland, and when we could see her again.
  • We talk about what the cliffhanger could be here for the show before it goes on its “State of Affairs” hiatus.
  • Meanwhile, we also debate which characters are the most likely to die before season 2 wraps up.
