‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 2 spoilers: Will Sara shocker hurt Oliver, Laurel’s relationship?

Laurel -While Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance may not be romantically involved anymore, the two do have an important relationship that is in so many ways at the core of “Arrow.” His history with her cannot be ignored, and she also works to ensure that the work he does as the Arrow is something that she can pay forward as an attorney.

With all of this being said, the two are facing one of their most enormous obstacles to date on Wednesday’s “Sara”: Trying to deal with the death of someone who meant a lot to both of them. It’s hard to think of losing someone twice, but this is what Laurel will be going through.

So will she blame Oliver in some way, or will this death produce too many painful memories of what happened so many years ago? Speaking to E! News, executive producer Marc Guggenheim did a good job of outlining what this would do to the Laurel – Oliver bond:

“I think Sara’s death pulls them closer together rather than further apart. That’s not to say there aren’t some significant moments of conflict between them also. I mean, that’s one of the reasons we killed Sara off. The amount of story and richness that we get out of it…there’s a scene in episode 2  where they’re going at it and can’t stand each other. And there’s also a scene in episode 2 where they’re the closest they’ve ever been. And it’s all in the same episode.”

At this point, we hope that Oliver and Laurel never get back together. Given the history that is there and also everything that transpired with Sara past and present, it would just far too weird. Plus, it seems like Oliver is looking more at Felicity these days, anyway.
