‘Scorpion’ episode 5 preview: First look at ‘Plutonium is Forever’

We are four episodes into CBS’ new series “Scorpion,” and thanks to that, we are starting to at least get some sense of how this particular show is operating. There are some funny moments, some action, and also moments of danger. Through it all, most of the genius heroes manage to get the job done. This appears to be the M.O. of the show, and they are sticking with it.

Next week, the show is going to be airing an episode that we love in many ways, especially when it comes to the episode title in “Plutonium Is Forever.” That just makes us think “fun,” and we hope that the episode delivers. Of course, the irony here is that we say this, but the story is something about a pretty shocking and horrific event in a reactor that is on the brink of killing thousands upon thousands.

With a crisis with this level of enormity, you can also expect a few new faces to turn up here. Just take a look at the episode’s full synopsis below to get some more details:

“To fix a Los Angeles nuclear reactor that’s on the verge of a cataclysmic meltdown, Walter and the team must reluctantly enlist the help of a troubled former member.”

In the span of this case, let’s just hope that one of our biggest demands for the show is addressed, and the story finds a way to really use everyone effectively. This early in the run, they are still trying to work a few things out.
