‘Longmire’ season 4 notes: Another message of hope; an ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ casting

Big news -We’ve been pretty lucky the past few days to have quite a few things to report about when it comes to “Longmire,” even if it is not what we’d really love to report in news on the show coming back on another network / a streaming service.

We’ll at least start by continuing to profess our happiness that some of the cast are finding work while we wait. We wrote recently about Bailey Chase getting on “Chicago Fire,” and now The Ferg himself in Adam Bartley posted an image of himself on Twitter (see below) working on “NCIS: Los Angeles.” This is a pretty good few weeks for Batley, given that he also taped a guest appearance for “Bones.” Some of his other credits include guest spots on “Chuck,” “Vegas,” and “Criminal Minds.”

More hope – We really wish that someone would bottle up all of the optimism that Lou Diamond Phillips has about life in general and just pass it out. The guy’s a beacon in some ways! He continues to hold out hope for a renewal, and this is a good message to carry over.

Unfortunately, there are no further updates in regards to network meetings, but we are getting a better sense of the ratings picture this fall. We still feel like USA or AMC could benefit from the show, and with that way that we are seeing so many new series on broadcast and cable struggle right now, isn’t it a good thing to have a solid performer who you know will have a good core of people watching live to see? We like to think so. If the suitor is Netflix, we like to think the appeal is reaching out to a new group of people who may not be subscribers. The glorious thing here is it doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, or your age. So long as you subscribe, you are thankfully treated the same.
