‘Pretty Little Liars season 5 spoilers: The latest mystery casting

If there is one thing we know at this point when it comes to “Pretty Little Liars,” it is that the series can be quite the fan of mysterious new arrivals in Rosewood. We had it with Shana, we had it with Sydney, and we are about to have it now with Lesli Stone.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth McLaughlin (“Betrayal”) is going to potentially recur in the second half of the season. All we know for certain about this character right now is that she arrives in Rosewood for the 18th episode, and she is going to have a particular purpose when it comes to the Liars.

What does this character mean to the show right now? It’s complicated, but it could mean more trouble for the Liars. While the death of Mona was something that rocked the series at the end of the summer, there are still many other open threads that could mean trouble for Aria, Ezra, and the rest of the cast. What is the biggest one? Think along the lines of what Aria did to Shana. While she has been able to avoid arrest for now, you have to think that this situation is far from over, and there will probably be many more hurdles that she needs to jump through before she can be okay in the end.

At the moment, we are still waiting for the return date for the show to ABC Family, though we are thinking it will be in the second week of January. This tends to be the pattern.
