ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: Olivia, Fitz, and further drama in new promo

The fourth season of “Scandal” is only three episodes in right now, but there is one thing that we can already say about it: Things are getting crazy.

Specifically, we are talking here about none other than Olivia and Fitz. These two characters are star-crossed in all the right and wrong ways. On one side of the coin, they love each other regardless of how much they allow themselves to admit it. However, they have a series of continuous obstacles standing in their way, from relationships to professional commitments to even the presence of the media, who has already targeted the two of them time and time again.

The biggest stumbling block that we see in the competition right now is a certain someone by the name of Mellie Grant. In a way, she gave him a demented form of permission to continue his affair in the premiere. Did she really mean any of this? We doubt it. She’s just in a severely emotional state right now, driven from the loss of her son. It’s hard to think clearly in this position.

Ultimately, Fitz has to be aware of the fact that anything that he says or does when it comes to Olivia is going to have an impact on his wife, and therefore all of that weight is on him. Is he going to be able to keep away from his mistress because of that? This is one of the questions that we’ll be asking ourselves the rest of the time. The new promo at the bottom of this article is just the tip of the iceberg.
