‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Eco-terrorists, Red’s manipulation, and more

The Blacklist logo any seasonA little while ago, we started to find out a little bit of information on “The Front,” which happens to be the fifth episode in the upcoming second season of “The Blacklist” over on NBC. We still feel like this is one of the most boring and dreadful titles the writers / producers have ever come up with, but then again, it’s a good thing that these shows are always about so much more than just the title.

This story is interesting given that the synopsis below does not actually make it seem like there is an individual person that Liz Keen and the rest of the FBI task force is taking down. Instead, it feels almost like an organizational threat. The second part of this seems to be much more interesting, mostly because it revolves a little around Reddington doing some of what he does best, and about the millionth person on this show trying to look after Megan Boone’s character:

“Agents Keen (Megan Boone) Ressler, (Diego Klattenhoff), and Cooper (Harry Lennix) pursue an eco-terrorist cell in search of a destructive weapon. Meanwhile, Liz (Megan Boone) tries to lose her guardian. Elsewhere, Red (James Spader) uses manipulation to pursue someone close to his heart.”

All we want right now is for this to be the episode where Tom returns. We reported yesterday that you probably are going to see Ryan Eggold on the show again very soon; the fact that he appeared via dream sequence in this past episode should be a little bit of a sign on its own that there are still many plans that some out there have for the character.

There is another new episode coming up before this one on Monday entitled “Dr. Linus Creel,” so be on the lookout for a little more news on that soon. (Photo via NBC.)
