‘The Newsroom’ season 3: The latest on Jeff Daniels, Olivia Munn

The long wait on “The Newsroom” is continuing, but to help you get through the time before November 9 (just under a month ahead), we’ve got a few things to give you a sense of the fun behind the scenes, and also just how much promotion that HBO is doing in order to prepare for the show’s launch.

First of all, you should file the Twitter image below via Jeff Daniels (who plays Will McAvoy) to be more than exciting. Anytime that you put a giant poster on a building, you know the network means business. Admittedly, we were somewhat worried that with this being the final season, there would not be a whole lot when it comes to an incentive in order to get the show promoted properly at all.

As for some other fun stuff, Olivia Munn (Sloan Sabbath) recently did a Twitter chat sponsored by InStyle, and there were a couple of things in here that we learned of importance.

  1. After “The Newsroom,” she is still interested in doing more work in TV. She does have a role coming up in “Ride Along 2,” but this is the medium where she really made a name for herself in between her time on G4 and Comedy Central.
  2. Meanwhile, she also had the following to say about a prominent memory from the set: “5am Emily & I are on 0 sleep [because] we got 5 big scenes [just] 10hrs earlier. Em is the best person 2 be in the rabbit hole.” In other words, TV is hard work, folks!
