‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ alum nets mystery role

When you get near the end of almost any series’ run, one thing becomes abundantly clear: Almost every role seems like a “mystery role.” This is then multiplied quite a few times over when the show that you are talking about is none other than “Sons of Anarchy.”

According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” actress Charisma Carpenter has landed a part in at least one episode of the seventh and final season, and her role is Carol, an administrative director at some sort of medical facility. That’s hardly revealing stuff, but if we’re talking about a hospital, doesn’t that mean bad news for one of the characters? Without Tara around, it hardly doesn’t feel like we have as natural a reason to visit one of these places anymore.

As of right now, one of the few things that has surprised us when it comes to “Sons of Anarchy” season 7 is that we haven’t lost any major characters (i.e. series regulars) in the first handful of episodes. Maybe we are just demented for whatever reason, but we almost expected to see one or two bodies hit the ground. With that being said, there’s still a long ways to go before this final ride comes to an end. You know that when there is still some casting news coming out for the last handful of episodes in the run.

The series finale in particular is one episode left to be taped, and we have a hard time imagining many dry eyes in the house for that.
