‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 2 spoilers: Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, and urgency

So far on “The Vampire Diaries” season 6, it feels like Damon and Bonnie have been pretty chill. They are able to be in their mysterious world with pancakes, flannel, and other good stuff. It doesn’t even seem like either party is really that upset to even be where they are.

So could some of that chance come Thursday night? It sounds like it. The thing to remember right now when it comes to Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham’s characters is this: They are acting this way mostly because the situation makes this the best possible solution. They really don’t have a whole lot of other options right now, at least unless they want to start running around moping and feelings sorry for themselves. If there is nothing that they can do, why not make the best of the situation?

Well, it seems like “Yellow Ledbetter” tonight will be a turning point. According to a new report coming in now from TV Guide, there will be at least some sort of trigger that allows Damon to recognize a certain part of where the two parties are, and that will propel them more into action as they attempt to secure their freedom from this world. This, in turn, may also help the characters in the real world find a way to help them, as well … if they even realize that they can.

While we may have a few more episodes of this, one thing to remember here is that sooner or later, the show probably will get the characters back together. Any other outcome is just too depressing to really even consider.
