‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Could Misha Collins’ Castiel team with

During the “Supernatural” premiere, Castiel was forced to take on a number of difficult questions, with most of them tying back to one key question: Was this character starting to completely lose the essence of who he was? Misha Collins’ character wondered if he has spent too much time on earth, and his interactions with the other angels Monday did not yield all the results he was hoping for.

Unfortunately for Castiel, he may ultimately have to turn to someone responsible for losing his grace in the event that he wants to get everything back: Metatron. This will be quite a situation to watch unfold, and speaking to TV Guide, executive producer Jeremy Carver comes close to confirming that we are probably going to see more of Metatron very soon:

“As long as Metatron is not dead, you can always assume he’ll factor in somehow.”

Whatever happens, we hope that Castiel’s story eventually does overlap even more with what Sam and Dean are going through right now. We like the characters best when the gang is all together to a certain extent, even though that may be hard for now. After all, you’ve got the rise of Demon Dean causing problems, Sam turning violent in order to find his brother, and Crowley trying to use Dean as his new pawn.

We expect all of this to at least last for a few more episodes, and when it comes to Castiel, he will be a part of the story for at least the majority of the season. After all, Collins is still a regular.
