‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 3 preview: Jennifer Love Hewitt takes on tough memories

Through the first two episodes of “Criminal Minds” season 10, we have started to find out a little more information on Jennifer Love Hewitt and her character of Kate Callahan. She has fit in pretty well with the team, but we still do not know very well about her.

On next week’s new episode “A Thousand Suns,” though, some of that could start to change a little bit. This is the first time that we’ll see extensive backstory about her, as a flight will trigger some pretty terrible memories about something that happened in the past.

“When a passenger jet crashes in Colorado, the BAU team is called to build a profile around the suspicious circumstances. Also, the case hits close to home for Kate, who is reminded of a family tragedy.”

We are excited about this episode much in the same way that we are any episode that really takes a look at any of the characters up close. However, this could also be the one that makes or breaks her on the show. You are working to appeal to millions of people who are giving up time every week to watch your show; you want to make sure that you are giving them a roster of characters that they can relate to, and not just people who are stereotypical cops. This show hasn’t been that so far, and hopefully it will stay that way.
