NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 7 video: See Blake Shelton, Little Big Town at Battle Rounds

While “The Voice” may not have aired a new episode Monday, we do have a video below that should help to give you something to look forward to from this coming week: The beginning of the Battle Rounds for the new season!

There are many competitors who will be fighting for their right to stay in the competition, and today, we’re looking specifically at Blake Shelton. He’s got a pretty enormous advising panel courtesy of country group Little Big Town, which makes sense given that he is a country artist.

As for the performances themselves, some of them sound pretty fun. There’s nothing in here that really strikes us as something that will make history, but they should at least be hard choices for Blake.

Does the presence of the Save help or hurt when it comes to creating tension? To be honest, that is something we’re still torn about. When it comes to keeping people around, it’s awesome. Remember here that Josh Kaufman was saved last spring, and he ended up ultimately winning the entire competition. That is proof that these sort of things can ultimately work.

However, at the same time they do take away a little bit of the drama that the show has previously, since you can figure out pretty easily who is going to stay based on if a save hasn’t been used by the end of the episode. It also may make a hard decision for Blake easier, knowing that someone else can take his act.
