‘Gotham’ spoilers: Meet Dr. Leslie Thompkins

Want to find out some surprising casting news when it comes to “Gotham”? Well, we feel like we have it for you today in the form of Dr. Leslie Thompkins.

According to a new report coming in right now from TVLine, the Fox series is in the process of casting the Dr. Leslie Thompkins character, who is known from DC lore as the godmother of Bruce Wayne. This may still be the case, but in the show, she also happens to be a love interest for Ben McKenzie’s James Gordon. Does that mean that bad things are coming for Barbara Keen? The writing does appear to be on the wall there for a number of reasons.

First of all, let’s begin with the reality of where Gordon’s relationship is at. She is continuously told lie after lie about who he is and what he’s up to, and sooner or later, those lies could crawl deep into her brain to the point where they become reality. Also, let’s not sit around here and pretend like Barbara is some saint, either. She clearly has some skeletons in her closet that she also has to deal with, and she has not exposed everything to James just yet.

But where would Gordon be without her? If nothing else, we would that he wouldn’t have that swanky apartment to call home anymore, and that will be most unfortunate for him to have take place.
